TURN UP THE VOLUME!!

This is called ‘New Age Tramps’.

I shouldn’t be playing this kind of music at my age, but, what the hell, I don’t feel like getting old yet.

This is off an album I made with a three-piece (drums/bass/guitar) band I had. It was recorded in a studio here in Lyon.

As usual, song, guitars and voices by your devoted scribe.

I think there are maybe four tracks of guitar on this, not sure. I liked the trashy wall-of-guitar effect and just kept adding to it!

…Or the hassles of heavy touring with a group, too much alcohol and grass, too little sleep, and many too many people…..

The song came about because we were in the studio and needed a slower song. The drummer put down six minutes of just one pattern and the song was written around it and recorded in a couple of days.

I was so tired I remember being depressed and writing the words on the terrace of a cafe and being too tired even to order a beer. I drank a coke. Rare event at that time….

Guitars, voices and song by yourz trooly…

An autobiography of sorts. Some pictures are me and things and places and ships etcetera that I have known…

Music and lyrics by Thom Yorke. ‘Cymbal Rush’ off the album ‘Eraser’

Photodoc by me.

———-

Try to save it but it doesn’t come off the rock
Try to build a wall that is high enough

It’s all boiling over a
All boiling over

Try to save your house
Try to save your songs
Try to run
But it follows you up a hill

It’s all boiling over
All boiling over
Your little voice
Your little voice

No more conversation
No more conversation
You should took me out when you had the chance
You should took me out when you had the chance
All the rooms were numbered
And the losers turned away
Don’t turn away
Don’t turn away

I wrote and recorded this song for a woman who umm…

She listens to it to this day.

You can’t have everything………………….
